Universal Fiber Systems, LLC has created a Business Development Group in support of its market diversification strategy for Universal Fibers, Inc. Based in its world headquarters and manufacturing facility in Bristol, VA, this group will be led by Don Campbell, vice president of business and technical development, and is tasked to pursue new frontiers in the marketplace with diverse capabilities in fiber technology. “As we continue to grow Universal Fibers’ leading global position in solution-dyed commercial, residential and automotive carpet fiber, this group will actively be expanding its product offering and marketplace presence to reach new markets for Universal Fibers,” says Marc Ammen, Universal Fiber Systems CEO. “These markets will include performance apparel, interior furnishings, filtration, technical/industrial, geotextiles, and medical. We also expect these expanded technologies to support traditional markets for existing customers of Universal Fibers as well as those of Premiere Fibers, both of which are business units within Universal Fiber Systems.” In support of its business development group, Universal Fibers, Inc. recently purchased the continuous filament bicomponent assets from Fiber Innovation Technology, Inc. Universal Fiber Systems, LLC is headquartered in Bristol, VA, and consists of two business units: Universal Fibers, Inc. and Premiere Fibers, Inc.
